The Seattle business community is rooted in a culture of innovation. In our city, smart, creative entrepreneurs solve some of the world’s most pressing problems with innovation and technology. It is especially exciting for us when we can work with a young, inventive company and develop print and marketing solutions that scale as they grow.
Founded in 2015, Seattle-based Convoy has rapidly grown from a small startup to a company with a $2.7 billion valuation and an impressive roster of investors and media recognition. Convoy’s automated digital freight network makes freight transport more efficient, reducing carbon emissions and shipping costs. Currently, 35 percent of truck miles driven are empty miles. Convoy puts empty trucks to work by matching truckers with freight shipping needs along the empty trucks’ routes back home. This means fewer empty trucks on the road, less wasted time and gas, less carbon emissions, better income for truckers and more efficient delivery times for shippers.
Our relationship with Convoy started when they started, back in 2015. From the beginning, Convoy was committed to creating a distinct company culture and brand identity. It was especially important for Convoy to create a brand rich environment for their employees. To do this, we worked closely with the Convoy facilities team to create environmental graphics, signage and privacy screening for conference rooms and private offices, and placards reflecting the company’s visual identification and values. Part of the process involved working with Convey to develop standards for graphic and materials which could be used again and again as their needs increased.
As the company grew rapidly, securing adequate office space became a challenge, and Convoy opened multiple offices across Seattle to accommodate an expanding workforce. The standards that we created allowed for rapid, consistent roll out of branded environmental graphic across all of Convoy’s office locations. This means that all Convoy team members work in an environment that consistently reflects their brand and their culture, regardless of what building they work in.
With over 1,000 employees today, Convoy has outgrown some of their original office space, but we are happy to say that they have not outgrown their relationship with AlphaGraphics Seattle. We have worked to be a consultative partner throughout their growth and now support departments across the company on a variety projects, including this year’s Convoy holiday card.
