A great way to show your appreciation for your favorite clients or loved ones is with a well thought out thank you card. Michael Courtney Design, a design agency based out of Seattle, recently came up with an interesting twist on the classic thank you card idea. We were happy to be their printing partner on this project.
The cards are 3”x4” in size and were printed on 21pt. Classic Crest paper stock using our HP Indigo digital press. Each sheet was then laminated to another 21pt Classic Crest sheet making each card a beefy 42pt sheet. They were die cut and shrink wrapped into sets of twelve.
We contacted Michael Courtney Design and this is what they had to say about the project. Spoiler alert… they loved how it turned out!
“Twice a year, we create one of a kind communication pieces to connect with our clients, collaborators and the Friends of MCD.
In November, we designed and mailed a hands-on, interactive gift to 350 special people: twelve, interlocking cards. Thank You is reversed from rich, warm colors on one face. The opposite side features project photos and sketches and images of our downtown Seattle neighborhood. Slots in the cards encourage creative assembly in many shapes and forms.
We turned to AlphaGraphics on the recommendation of a friend. When we presented our Concept to Ghazal and Michelle, their enthusiasm was immediate. By the time we left the meeting, they had brainstormed solutions to the limited run, high quality, specialty die needed project requirements and we’d chosen them as the printers for the project.
Michelle’s follow through, project management and communication skills were great. From the Press Check to packing and shipping recommendations to ensure the cards arrived in great shape, her comments and actions were spot on. Thanks, AlphaGraphics.”
