The city of Seattle is a vibrant place with a strong arts community. Within our city limits, thousands of art installations are on display. Everything from sculptures, to giant murals, to wall and window graphics can be seen all over town. We are sometimes fortunate enough to work on projects that contribute to the already existing artistic Seattle landscape. Its projects like these that are among our favorites to work on.
Last week we printed and installed an art installation in South Lake Union inside Amazon headquarters. The artwork, created by a collaboration between artists Clive McCarthy and Beth Howe, makes for a magnificent window display.
The piece is 288” long and 96” tall, and is printed on knit fabric. We added 4” pole pockets at the top to aid in the installation process.
The project is a part of Shunpike’s Storefronts program. The program was designed to support our creative community by activating storefronts with vibrant art and local projects.
Take a look at the photos below. And Next time you’re in the South Lake Union area, be sure to check it out in person. The photos don’t do it justice.
