AlphaGraphics Seattle, the leading digital printer in the Pacific Northwest, has expanded its Grand Format print capabilities with the acquisition of an HP Scitex Flatbed Digital UV Press and an Esko Kongsberg Digital Finishing (CAD cutting) System.
The HP Scitex FB700 is a 98” wide, six color UV digital grand format press that prints both direct to rigid substrates in ‘flat bed’ mode and roll-to-roll in ‘roll’ mode. In Flatbed mode it can print on substrates up to 2.5” thick and can print to just about any surface including paper board, plastics, plexi-glass, dibond aluminum, plywood, and corrugated packaging materials. In roll mode it can print on any roll substrate including papers, vinyl banner materials, pressure sensitive label stock, and window decal materials. The HP Scitex utilizes UV lamp technology to instantaneously cure ink to any substrate with uncompromising quality.
The Esko Kongsberg iXL Digital Finishing System is a CAD cutting system that can cut and score in a single pass on a broad range of substrates including paperboard, plastics, plexi-glass, dibond aluminum, and plywood. It produces custom cut-outs for point of sale or point of purchase, packaging, window decals, vinyl decals, and other creative finishing solutions.
AlphaGraphics Seattle Owner Chuck Stempler describes how this new equipment acquisition puts AlphaGraphics Seattle in a unique position as a print solution provider to Northwest companies:

This increases our ability to say ‘yes’ to anything print in the Puget Sound Market.”
